Adding texture to an image

This is the tutorial we watched.

Instructions:
1. First, start off my entering two images into photoshop, one of the image you want to manipulate and the other should be a texture.
2. Next, copy and paste the texture layer on top of your image.
3. In the options bar to the right of the image, change the layer from 'Normal' to 'Overlay' This will blend it with the picture.
4. To adjust the strength of the overlay, change the opacity to your liking.
